One on One Training

Due to the requirement standard of the American School of Dog Grooming, students will begin "hands-on" during the first day of training. 

Students may begin on a Tuesday or Friday. There is only one student starting at a time. This way, every student is at a different level. This permits us to instruct each student at his or her own pace and provides special attention to particular problems encountered by each student.

Dog Grooming Training Info

Training is 12 and a half weeks long and we take only three students at a time so please fill out your application and bring it in as soon as possible to start the selection process. Tuition is $1,300 with a $300 down payment. 

Course Cost
  • Tuition: $1,300
  • Deposit: $300 (remaining tuition $1000)
  • Equipment (approx. upon graduation) $1,200- $1,400

Schedule
Classes meet 4 days per week on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday at 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. A.S.O.D.G. is closed Sunday, Monday, and Thursday.

  • 370 hrs: Hands-on Grooming
  • 7 hrs: Handling Grooming Problems
  • 2 hrs: Care of Equipment 
  • 1 hr: Making Bows
  • 1 hr: Handling / Cleaning Equip. 
  • 4 hrs: Handling of Dog's Safety
  • 2 hr: Recognition of Health Problems
  • 3 hrs: Skin Problems
  • 2 hrs: Business Management
  • 2 hrs: Organizing a Shop
  • 2 hrs: Purchasing Equipment
  • 2 hrs: Knowledge of Grooming Products
  • 1 hr: Epileptic Seizures
  • 1 hr: Parasites
